What size will the box be?

You set the inside size, so your gift fits. The lid, the sleeve of the matchbox and the hexagon lid are made a little bigger by the card thickness you choose, so they slide on.

Which paper should I use?

Card of 200–300 g/m² folds neatly and holds its shape; for a bag or an envelope thinner paper (120–160 g/m²) is fine. Score the folds with a blunt knife or an empty pen before folding.

How do I print it at the right size?

Print the PDF at “Actual size / 100 %”, not “Fit to page”, and measure the 50 mm line at the bottom of the page. If the template is bigger than the paper, it is split into pieces with an overlap — or choose A3.

Can I cut it on a Cricut or Silhouette?

Yes: download the SVG cut file (red — cut, blue — score) and the PNG with the design to print then cut, or use the PDF.

How does the picture go on the box?

Choose “Front only”, “Every side” (the picture fills each side, upright), “Round the box” (one picture across the whole template) or “Repeated” (a pattern of the picture). The size slider zooms it.

How to use

1Pick a box: tuck box, box with lid, flower box, pyramid, hexagon, triangle box, matchbox drawer, gift bag or gift card envelope.
2Set the inside size — what has to fit in — and the options: a lid, double walls, a window, holes for a ribbon.
3Design it: a ready look, colours, a pattern, your own picture (front only, every side, round the box or repeated), text in a nice font and a printed ribbon with a bow.
4Press “Unfold” to see the flat template and “Fold” to see the finished box in 3D; turn it with the mouse.
5Print the PDF at 100 % on card, cut along the solid lines, fold along the dashed ones and glue the tabs — or send the SVG to a Cricut or Silhouette.
