How does it reach the exact size?
It tries different JPG quality levels and picks the best one that fits. If the photo is still too big, it also makes the picture a bit smaller.
Will the photo look worse?
Only as much as needed. For most photos 100–200 KB still looks sharp on screens and in online forms.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Compression happens in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
